Think of North as a giant repository of all of the places you want to remember. All places that you save in North get added to Your Places, which you can access from the Your Map tab.

How to Save a Place

  1. Navigate to the Search tab

  2. Search for a place

  3. Tap on a place

  4. Mark the place as Wanna Go or, if you've been, choose a rating (Love It, Like It, or Not Great) to save it to Your Places

Now that you've added this place to Your Places, you can add ratings and notes, and you can add the place to any of your lists.

How to Use Your Map

You can access Your Places from the Your Map tab in the North app.

By default, places on Your Map are sorted by distance away from you, so Your Map is the perfect place to go when you are looking for something to do nearby. Just navigate to Your Map, filter down your list if needed (e.g. filter by Food and Open Now if you're feeling peckish), and get out there and explore!

Organizing Your Places

Because Your Places houses every place you've saved in North, it can quickly become a very large collection.

To organize your places, you can add them to Standard Lists and Smart Lists. Lists are great for any number of things, such as trip planning, keeping track of new restaurants in your neighborhood to try, or remembering all of your favorite local coffee shops.

It's important to note that you can save a place in North without putting it on any of your North Lists—in this case, the place will appear on Your Map, and you can still save ratings and notes for that place. It's also possible to have one of your saved places in North appear across multiple lists, and your ratings and notes for that place will appear across all of those lists. This gives you ultimate flexibility with how you'd like to organize your places.
