The TLDR:

  • We're making it even simpler to grow your North network with Friend Invite Links.

  • We've added reactions, so you can let your friends know what you think about their activity.

  • We've made it easier to remember how you found a place by adding sources.

New feature: Friend Invite Links

You can now invite someone to join North and become your friend by sharing a link. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Activity tab

  2. Tap the Add Friends button

  3. Tap Share Invite

New feature: Reactions 🔥❤️✨

When you're scrolling through your Activity tab, you can now react to your friends' activity.

You can let them know if you love a new place they want to go, that you're jealous of a place they visited, or thank them for helping you find a new place.

New feature: Sources

Sam is super detail-oriented about keeping track of where he finds fun new spot. On the other hand, Devon has terrible memory and wanted a way to remember how he stumbled upon the places he adds to North.

If you’re anything like either of us, you’ll like this next update—we’ve added “Sources”.

If you discover a place in North from a friend in North, we'll automatically set that as the source. And if you're adding a new place from Search, you'll be able to set the source yourself.

No more scratching your head trying to remember who told you about that hidden gem.

Recent improvements

We've also made a couple of small but important enhancements:

  • Recently Saved By Friends: We added a section to the Home tab that shows places recently saved by your friends, so you can get a quick view of new places they're checking out.

  • We made it go vroom: We made good progress towards speeding up flows like opening a place, loading the home tab, and more.
